As many know on here I operate a little differently than many........but I can't truly understand why in the world anyone would want an enclosed underbelly......... If I bought a trailer with an enclosed underbelly the first mod would be Remove it.

Also there is insulation between the floor and the frame and we do not camp below 25 degrees. Never had a freezing issue.....

We now have a 41 foot Wildwood it is open too...........
Our 2017 Wildwood did not come with a spare either but I do understand that.

I would think it helps keeping mice out.

Maybe it is a disadvantage but I figured it helps keep mice out during the winter an I have wires hanging down all over underneath the frame. Some are even hanging below the frame which does not seem right.

Never had a mouse issue, but personally I would think just opposite. The underbelly gives them a floor to run on......... same wires, etc.....

The only advantage that I can see if you do a lot of below freezing camping the underbelly can provide a little more insulation for the holding tanks. We only camp to about 25 degrees at the coldest and that would be rare.
