Palomino 5th wheel camper

Bought a new 5th wheel camper and no spare tire came with it. Dealer tells me this package does not include a spare tire. Anybody ever heard of buying a trailer without a spare tire?

Without knowing which Palomino brand and model, hard to answer your question.
I do know that on many entry-level stick and tin trailers, spare tires are often an option and not standard.

If you look at the 2018 brochures for both the Puma 5th wheel and the Puma Unleashed, it shows "spare tire and carrier" as an option.

Your dealer probably should have told you that before you bought it, but I'm afraid that technically, he is correct.

How do I know which package I got? It’s a 2019 Puma 295-BHSS

Your delivery order (Sales Receipt) should specify which options you got. If not, best place to look is on the website...
Puma Fifth Wheels / Travel Trailers by Palomino
Look under (click) Additional Options

If it doesn't have the Advantage Package, it clearly states that the spare tire is an option.
In fact, the Puma has a huge list of options, compared to non-entry level trailers that come standard with many of these items.

Every camper that I have ever purchased a spare was an option including our two Pumas.

Nothing surprising or new.

I have everything in the Advantage package and the Limited Edition package except the spare tire and the enclosed underbelly which I should have as well.

Then you need to talk to the dealer.

Sorry but I take offense to you saying a stick and tin trailer is an entry level trailer that is just pure BS.. They may cost less but many are better quality than the high dollar models.

Should I report you to the site moderators ????

I tried talking to the dealer but they’re not much help. They don’t respond to my emails. It don’t help that they’re 12 hours from me.

If you're not getting anywhere with the dealer, use the "chain of command" and go up from there.

Go to the last post (Post 61) in this thread. Here you will find in a spreadsheet all the Forest River contacts for all brands/models. Let them know what you bought, the packages you paid for, and what's missing, and let them go after the dealer to make it right for you.

Just a suggestion....

We have a 2016 Palomino Columbus Compass 38' and it has a tire under the front bedroom. Dunno if it was optional.

We had a Puma and later a Puma Unleashed, both we had to pay extra for a spare tire that was not standard. The Unleashed the spare was under the back. Both had open underbellies which I prefer.

For what reason do you prefer open underbelly?

Main reason is that I can see , inspect and get to everything without dropping the underbelly. You can catch a leak quicker. Crack in the frame. When I added the second 30A service to the toy room made it nice............... 50A was not available in the Unleashed in 2013.

Also there is insulation between the floor and the frame and we do not camp below 25 degrees. Never had a freezing issue.....

We now have a 41 foot Wildwood it is open too...........
Our 2017 Wildwood did not come with a spare either but I do understand that.
