So....further inspection revealed that in the basement(cargo area) behind the panel with he battery disconnect is where the wires are located. The owner and I found cables labeled solar positive and solar negative, and also battery negative and battery positive. We checked the voltage coming from the solar panel and it was 23vdc. Apparently the manufacturer forgot to install the controller. The owner has been in contact with Forest River and sounds they will get him fixed up.

Needing help with solar also

Hello We have a 2022 palomino river ranch 390RL and it has the SAE solar hook up in the front of the camper by the light switch for the 5th wheel. I think it’s just for temporary solar, as in plug in and set on the ground, but I want to install panels on our roof. First things first though haha. I see on the specs that is it was set up for go power, and I have a 1000 watt inverter installed next to the hydraulic controls. But it looks like I would still need to install a solar controller where the emergency battery shutoff is located. Has any one installed a go power GP-PWM-30 controller or similar? Looking for tips and tricks because on the website it says not for sale and they want me to take it to a dealer. I’m an electrician and a cheapskate 😂. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
