Picked up our Columbus 320RS!!
Signed the papers yesterday afternoon at Camper's Inn in Mocksville, NC.
A very good delivery experience. Everyone was helpful. So much so, that one of the guys took my RAM around back and washed the yellow pollen off so it would look good hooked up to the Columbus. Very nice.
Spent the night at the dealer while we transfered all our stuff over. It poured for most of the night. No leaks. Everything worked, though I have to label some of the switches.
The walk around was performed by Jake, a RVIA certified technician there. Very knowlegable and a nice guy.
Some notes:
The lighting inside is awesome. Many are LED. The place can be really bright or if you hit the right switches, nice mood lighting.
The Panasonic sound system is better than my home system. 5 speakers and a sub-woofer. Along with the Toshiba LED 40" TV, great for movie night.
The King bed was a valuble option. The standard mattress is OK, but should improve after a 3" memory foam topper.
No words can describe the 30"X60" shower. WOW.
The movable island is interesting and will take some getting use to. It will work well, though.
The Trail Air Rota Flex pin box was well worth the extra money paid. We could tell the difference towing, especially on I-85 which is a terrible road. It tows great.
My wife is reading the operators manual on the convection oven, got some left over pizza to heat up.
We are very happy with the Columbus and we're looking forward to getting out more and having a great time.

Thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing. First picture we have seen of a grey 320, beautiful. Our's is to begin contstruction Thursday the 29th. According to our dealer, 3-4 days to build, then at the mercy of the haulers. We are working with Happy Trails in Sumter, South Carolina, so not too much further than yours from the factory. Did you experience a long delay in getting it from factory to dealer?

Not really. About 6 weeks. Seems like a long time when waiting. Well worth the wait, though.

Very nice - we're looking forward to taking ours out again next week - Tuesday thru Saturday. I am fortunate to be able to work from home - and...home is wherever the computer is!!
Couldn't get four straight days in the same park, so we're staying 2 days at a city Park on Lake Lewisville (Texas) then moving over to a Corps of Engineers park for two days...same lake, about a half-mile away as the crow flies.
While there, we'll be attending "Grandparents Day" at our grandkids school.
THEN...the following week we head out for 10 days on the road to the Gulf of Mexico.

Discount
My research, multiple states, MSRP's range from $59,000 to high $61,000. Offering at $45,000 to $48,000.

It's complicated to calculate the actually price I paid for the Columbus because I had a trade in with a payoff. The prices lgray posted were about what they were asking for the 320RS at the RV show.

I agree - the "dealer invoice" price for "replacement value" insurance purposes on mine was $61,375 with our options. Actual price was $48K and change including TT&L (we added the six-way levelers, slide awnings, electric fireplace, Serta Trump series mattress, 32" bedroom TV, bedroom AC and bike rack to their "required option" of the Voyager package). We had a $16K trade-in with no payoff.

Insurance Tip
The carrier should ask you value. Progressive will even ask you how much you would like it covered for, even though it is replacement coverage.
The bottom-line is that the carrier has the option of trying to find you a "like in kind trailer", same year, options, etc. or buy you a new one up to the value you stated. Since I know I can buy a new one for less than $50,000, that is the value I stated. No use in paying for coverage between $50,000 and $61,000, when the most you will get is the replacement of the trailer.

OMG! That thing is massive! Love the windows. It must be georgous on the inside and I'm certain it's nicer than my house...heck it's almost as big as my house! Congrats to you. We have had our new 2013 Surveyor Sport 220 for about two weeks now and I'm getting so antsy for our first trip but it's not until Mother's Day weekend. It's our first new camper.
