Puma 2nd A/C Addition

So yesterday I finally got around to adding my 2nd A/C. The 105 heat index at beach last year was what convinced me. I ordered a Mach 3 Plus from Dyers and received free shipping. This was a pretty easy job and I had a buddy swing by to help wife and I get on the roof.Click image for larger version

I watched a video prior to starting and it all worked out great! I ran into a little mistake I made and damaged the thermostat bulb, I knew when I heard the gas leak out, [emoji23]. So now I need to replace but can find exact part number anywhere. Click image for larger version

I see a few that says will work with my ceiling assembly 9430D715 but I am not sure of the differences. Does anyone know how to find the part I need? I figure to call AirExcel tomorrow to see what they recommend but wanted to post my experience as well.

Great job. I can’t help with part number. How are you liking your Puma? I have a Puma toy hauler 27 qbc. I like it a lot. Waiting for warm weather to start tinkering with it.

We love it so far. We really like the bunk area being closed off from living area at night. We had some warm weather past few days to tinker. Looking forward to this camping season already!

My brother is looking at a 32rbfq bunk house. That one also has bunks closed off from living space. What model number is yours?

We looked at that one but we went with 31BHSS. Pretty much the same layout but 1 less slide. Overall we’ve enjoyed every minute using it. We have 4 kids who stay in bunk house and it gives us the privacy and quietness if they go to sleep and we can watch TV or what not.

Awesome. I see you may be hauling it with a RAM? Is it a short bed or long bed?

That’s correct, it’s a short bed. Love them both so far [emoji3]

Puma 2nd A/C Addition

I have 2011 RAM 2500 and love it. My brother may pull the trigger on a used 2014 RAM 2500.

How did you deal with the wiring, is the 30amp hookup (assuming that trailer is 30a) enough to run both at the same time?

It was already 50a and pre-wired for it.

So Airxcel was top notch, they are sending a new thermostat free of charge and I’ll be putting in next few days.
