River Ranch 392mb Heating

I am hoping that someone can help me or point me in the right direction. My wife and I just picked up our River Ranch last week and we really like it and don't have any complaints other than one. The complaint is that there is really no resources on this rigs operating systems. They handed us all of the manuals for everything but it they don't really tell you squat about anything. My two big questions are the propane system and the heat pump/furnace. The propane system doesn't appear to have an automatic switch over on the tanks. Both tanks have a line that runs to a tee. If anyone can offer any insight I would greatly appreciate it. Next is the heat pump. I had it set up in the one control panel to cool only and then switched it to heat only when the weather got colder. It seemed to heat the rig until the outside temperature dropped below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. I thought at that point it was suppose to switch to gas backup and heat. Well that didn't happen until I set it to prefer gas instead of heat pump. It was my understanding that it would kick the gas furnace automatically? Thanks in advance for any help....Bill

too COLD

SO basically heat pumps don't work below 40 F . there is a setting on your one control thermostat section for gas heat.
As for switch over of the LP , my river ranch does switch over. So I guessing you just not seeing it.
