Roof PM

Less than 2 week old camper doing some roof PM work. I am not done but wanted to share some pictures of my roof sealing. Kind of ugly but should provide good protection. At least I hope or I have wasted time and money.

We got our 2019 TT in August and before we stored it for the winter I checked the roof. I found a couple of areas that didn't look too good, so I touched them up with Alpha 1021. Better safe then sorry.

Many forum members have used Eternabond on their RV's as a preventive measure. Some applied it within weeks or months of purchase. I applied it to my roof the following summer after buying my TT in the fall of 2013. The only thing is I hope you used Eternabond tape and not Flex Seal tape. I have looked at the Flex Seal tape and it is thinner than Eternabond tape. Others who have tried Flex Seal products say it doesn't last. The Flex Seal tape website's "fine print" says it is only intended for temporary repairs and that the tape itself is easily removeable. It also gives a list of things it WILL adhere to, but also has an oblique list of things it WON'T. Flex Seal is made with petroleum products, NOT good for EPDM or TPO roofs.

I don't trust Phil Swift and would not use that stuff. Eternal Bond and CoFair(sp) is only stuff I use anywhere.

Few more pics. Have some 2inch black Eternabond ordered to run the side seams. Will Dicor lap seal and Trempro 645 the side edges also.

Should be OK to maintain once done and in theory.
