Slide Out / Stabilizer Sequence
We picked up our 31BHSC earlier in the week and it's our first TT with slide outs. What's the correct sequence for putting the slides out?
Is it level, stabilizers, slides or level, slides, stabilizers?

I’ve always done, level, stabilizers, slides.
I don’t think it matters on a TT or FW.

Perfect, but I might add in case(and assuming non boondocking) plug up first.

My 2018 Freedom Express 281 RLDS specifically states on the electric panel to be sure that the stabilizers are down before opening the slideout. Thus: Level, Stabilize and then open the slideout,

I admit, I have got all set up before I realized the power post was a couple feet further away than I thought!

And that is one of the reasons I carry an extension for power — just in case [emoji3]

I misspoke when I said power panel. I meant the panel in the camper where the switch is located to open the slide-out and awning, not the campground power supply post.
Sorry about that.

I would say that it depends on how many slides you have and on what sider they are.

Reasonably level side to side , then front to back. How many times have you been to a dealership or show and the slides were out and stabilizer jacks weren't down? I've noted this enough times, so does it really make that much difference? Next time you are out kicking tires, observe. It's easier to "tweak the level bubble" on the stabilizers once the slides are out for me. JMO. It hasn't caused me any concern. Your preference

I always: Level, Stabilizers, hook up utilities, slides
Keep in mind, most RVs on lots are on display with the slides open and stabilizers retracted so if you make a mistake and slide before you put your stabilizers down it shouldnt hurt anything.

Don't forget the wheel chocks
Too many times I level, then put the slide out only to realize I did not put the X-chokes on the tires under the slide. On the knees and crawl under to do it. Old dogs sometimes never learn....
Some people carry a tape measure or stick the length of their slide to make sure they are far enough away from the utility posts. Hitting the post with your slides will push the trailer off level

Some good tips here. I would not have thought to hook up utilities and put the xchocks in place first !

Lol. That’s when the chocks don’t get put on...too fat to crawl around under there.
