Slow shower drain

We have a 2018 Palomino Columbus Compass 340RKC and recently the shower drain has started to drain very slowly. The grey tank is open and we take any hair and soap scum from the drain but before you finish your shower there is about 1-2" of water and it eventually does drain. Is it safe to use a drain cleaner like you use in a regular home plumbing system or never use? How about a tool to fish drain the drain? Any help would be appreciated before we head to our dealer.

To use anything like a cleaner or a tool you need to know what type drain you have, if it is a HEP valve I would say NO as you could ruin it. Might be best to try and gain access to see what is there and if so just remove and clean. Good luck and keep us posted

This has happened to me before, and it sounds like your vent pipe is clogged. The little birdies actually built a nest inside my vent cap. Somehow it got cocked at an angle and was just enough space for our feathered friends to stuff it with dead grass and mud. This may not be the case for you, but that kind of thing does happen. Wasps and hornets will also find it to be a great place to start a hive. I would have a look there.
