We put a slide awning on our Flagstaff and it did improve it some. Without it you could not hear the tv.

We have slide toppers. Our bd a/c was really loud until we got the grommet kit installed but we usually run a fan in bd for white noise. The rain does not bother me but the wind sure does.

Slide toppers are the way to go...No debris when you bring in the slides and they reduce the rain noise on the bedroom slide. The DW and I love the soothing sound of the rain on the roof and it helps us get a good nights sleep. Remember, in the evening, noise travels further so you will hear all sorts of things...
