We got our Sabre 34TBOK today!

We picked up our Sabre 34TBOK today that we ordered from the Cleveland RV show last month. Fifth-wheeling is new to us but it towed great. Already have it cleaned and some stuff loaded into it! Can't wait for warmer weather to try it out!

One issue we did have was the feet for the back jacks dragging on the road as we turned into our driveway (it goes up a grade). Rather than ruin the jacks we ended up backing up the driveway..... Not something we want to do every time we return from camping. Other than regrading our driveway does anybody have any suggestions?

Is it only when the rv tires go through the gutter at the curb? If it is can you lay some 2X12s at the gutter to keep the rear jacks from scrubbing.

Congrats on your new Sabre, your goin to love it.

We are out in the country so no curbs or gutters. Just a driveway that goes uphill. Back end of camper drops down as truck starts up the driveway. We certainly don't want to rip the jack feet off or damage the motors. Would putting boards down help this?

Congrats! I love the look of the tbok as well. Not too hijack your thread but, can I ask... What are you guys towing with?

I've got a F250 CC 4x4 with a V10. I believe its up to it, especially here in Nebraska on the flat lands, but would like to hear from others

We have a 2011 Ram 2500 CTD crew cab, short bed, with 3.73 axle. We had a few hills on our 2 hour trip home yesterday and it handled them just fine.

Smile Congats on new Sabre

Congradulations on your new Sabre. You're going to love it. We got ours last year. A 2013 Sabre REQS34-6. It's a beutiful rig. We can't wait to get back out with it, winter too long. Our tow vehicle is 2011 Chevy 2500HD LTZ 4X4 w/ Duramax diesel / 6 speed Allison transmission. Have no problem towing my rig. Handles well on the highways. We went to Maine, N.H. Vermont, and the Adirondacks in N.Y. last summer and pulled with ease through the mountains of the northeast.

Usually is you add some boards it will straighten out the drop point and you shouldn't have an issue.

Congrats on the new camper!

another idea is to mount a heavy duty caster(steel) on each frame rail at the rear, you see that a lot on long race car trailers, if the rails aren't to hard to find from the underbelly, im taking delivery of my 36qbok next Saturday, i'll check it out & let you know my thought then.

Great looking rig Scott1...it's the preferred method to pull these rigs around with a diesel, good to see you have that taken care of already!

Happy Camping!!!
