A bunch of helpful RV links that newbies will like

Here's some RV related links that I have found useful:

First, there's "the 12 Volt Side of Life" but with that famous page there is information about all sorts of stuff that you will find handy:

(Link bad check library for this file - edit Herk)

Some pretty good stuff for the newbie trailer towing crowd:

http://www.rvtowingtips.com/

Some motorhome stuff, and other stuff too

http://www.rvtechstop.com/

A whole bunch of Basic RV info and links to other sites. A real candy store for the beginning RVer.

http://rvbasics.com/

So as to not starve to death, in fact maybe put on some pounds,

http://www.chuckwagondiner.com/

which has excellent pie iron, dutch oven and campfire recipes. Speaking of pie irons and dutch ovens:

http://www.pieiron.com/index.htm
http://www.idos.com/

If you eat, then sooner or later... (US and Canada)

http://www.rvdumps.com/dumpstations/

Outdoor suppliers, but not much RV stuff:

http://www.campmor.com
http://www.cabelas.com/
http://www.rei.com/
http://www.basspro.com

That should keep you up web surfing all night!

A Sticky is a thread that the administrator can flag as always staying at the top of a particular list. In this case, there are many useful links that are very informative.

Your state of residence. I say that because anything else is really evading the law. I know people do it to save a few bucks, but it's not something we ought to discuss on a public forum, is it?

As a full timer I currently don't have a state of residence. So I am looking for the most advantageous one to buy property and call home.

Generally speaking, most fulltimers opt for Texas, South Dakota, or Florida as none have state income tax. Each has other taxes - coworkers were just lamenting the cost of property taxes in Texas. I read an article that health care costs can vary dramatically in each state (and even with each mail forwarding service with the county that they're in).

I've just started the switch to Florida. I have health insurance through work, so that's a non-issue. The lack of state income tax should be a boon to my bottom line.2

Good read with great info. We're heading to the Badlands and Wyoming this summer so this will help. Thanks.

We have hills in Missouri but nothing like described here. Glad to not have to figure this out by experience.
