Yeah, HF does always have great prices "throughout the year". I'm willing to try their products, but I've got a few co-workers that have not experienced their goodness!

Their Pittsburgh line of wrenches and other hand tools are generally decent, but I've been reluctant to buy things with more moving parts from them. I do have 2 of their Earthquake air guns which I got at a serious discount. I also have one of their 4 drawer tech carts and love it. I'm probably going to invest in a set of their larger tool chest and roller base soon. If you go to Northern Tool, Lowes and HD you will find other similar China made air guns for considerably more. Look to be the exact same unit with different colors or labels.
One tool that is invaluable for changing out suspension bushings (not the plastic or "Never" Fail type, but the bronze ones) and also driving out the hanger bolts is the HF ball joint tool. I snagged mine for $39 vs over $100 for the same tool at my local auto parts store under a different brand name.
With everything coming from China, it's basically one factory makes them all with different brands or colors on the final product (or so it seems). That appears to be the only way everyone can compete with the price points from the discounters like HF.
Also make sure to check the Harbor Freight Tool Coupon Database website. I can often find an even better discount coupon there. You can either print them, or cut and paste the JPG of the code image and email it to your phone. The HF checkout clerk can scan it directly off your phone screen 99% of the time and enter the number by hand if it will not scan. I do my research and set my coupons up in my phone before I go to the store. Checkout is super fast and easy that way. And my local store will take their special members only coupons if I have the coupon (I'm not a paid member). So don't skip over those as well. You can browse all active coupons or search by product number:

I have their low profile floor jack and the jacking beam made for it. Can attest it has been fine for past 5 years.

Most HF products are "OK" for the average homeowner, etc but if you are a tradesman or shop owner that needs 100% reliability and good longevity, not so much.
I would buy one of their floor jacks for use in my garage but in a tire store? No way. Not only the constant use but the operators don't own it so they could care less how it's treated.
Ditto for impact wrenches and most of their electrical tools.

For tools to help me get a job done and not have to pay Big prices, I find nothing wrong with trying to save money. Besides that, I generally try some of those tools that I may not even use again. Get me by tools, is what I call 'em (•‿•)

i get you. I have a ton of tools I've bought from the "cheap tool bin" at auto parts stores to just get by. Heck, some have even lasted a couple decades.

I started this thread as a way to post Black Friday deals that might interest R/Vers.
I had hoped we didn't debate opinions of the legitimacy of China tools sold at some of these places.
I guess I should have just posted photos of gas and diesel trucks.

Current Costco Firman Generator Listing:
Noob question for the generator ignorant (me): Would this do the A/C & Microwave vs using 2 2000's?

A typical R/V air conditioner is on either a 15a circuit or a 20a circuit.

A 2900w generator should power the A/C nicely provided you don't overload it (the generator) with other appliances. (water heater, coffee maker, hair dryer, etc.)
Microwaves are usually somewhat less in wattage. Especially those in R/Vs.
