In this day and age, I'm still amazed at the number of folks who haven't taken the time to learn CPR. I've been a rescuer in more than a half-dozen cardiac arrest reversals (rescusitations) over my 34 years as an EMT, and CPR is one of the easiest rescue skills that there is to learn.
It's tragic, when the FD arrives on scene, someone's loved-one is in cardiac arrest, and everyone is just standing around crying, panicking, or otherwise accomplishing nothing, when they could have started the rescue with CPR, and increased the likelyhood of a successful rescue.
