Hitch tray

Has anyone seen this around yet it looks like an alternative to bumper mounting trays.

similar to Arvika's bike rack system.
looks like it could be adapted to carry bikes.
the only issues would be putting the tailgate down or the A-frame mounts being in the way of the WDH's A-frame mounts.

appears to be selling for about $230US.
that puts it up in the Arvika bike rack costs, if you add what the bike carrying setup would cost.

Wow I did not know that the cost was so high, I just came across it while looking at a magazine.

I dunno... The tray on the hitch of mine is a bit larger.

Certainly would not fit on a Forest River Grand Surveyor with the plastic fairing on the front. Good idea though.

Our XLR 27HFS has a tray behind the propane tanks. That is where I put my generator.

One difficulty I see is a problem getting the propane bottle cover off, unless it folds up.

The assembly itself looks sturdy and well engineered from viewing the video. My concern would be people piling too much stuff on the tray and getting into a too high center of gravity situation.

Also securing the articles would be a concern of mine - bungee cords just wouldn't work for me.

Perhaps the concept could be taken one step further and make a box enclosure on the tray top instead of it being open.

Just saying
