In the Market for a fifth wheel that will go thru a 12ft overhead door
I have been looking at fifth wheels for sometime now but the overall height seems to be at least 12 to 13.5 ft in height, from ground up. I need to be around 10.5 to 11 ft to fit thru a 12 ft overhead door for storage. (Spoiled indoors) Are there any models out there like that?? LEMENO!! Ol Geezer

Given your constraints you're looking at a Scamp or Escape fifth wheel RV.
Allen makes a fairly short unit, but it's over 11'.
If it were me, I'd look at bumper pulls. It's pretty easy to find those less than 11' tall.

minus a very few of the really "small" 5th wheels I think you are in the TT market or looking for a bigger storage building

Yep, that's the only ones I know of, that meet the OP's criteria.

Yep...I'm afraid you're out of luck on this one. You might find a really old one that might fit, but it would likely not be in very good shape. Good luck.

under 12’
Might look into the Crusader line from Prime Time (may be someone else by now).
Photo shows the specs at 11’6”. That height as shown is with the stock axles, 15” tires and wheels. It does not show the optional touring packages that come with the heavier duty axles, springs and 16” rims, plus another 1.6k of load capacity. While not exact, i am 2-3” below 12’, when hitched.
See photo.

I'm sure that's without the a/c housing height included.

When I get a chance, I will measure mine. I have fit below 12’. Yes, I have a single 15k air conditioner, rearward mount. I am certain, if the rig had a second 13k bedroom air, all bets would be off.

Just off the roof of my RV. I am at 11’8” to the highest point of the air conditioning shroud. I will add, there is no water to speak of in the tanks, hot water tank is full, nothing in the fridge, very minimal foodstuff, but all my clothing, tools, etc. loaded and ready to go. Just to be certain, I checked the tires, they are at 78-80 lbs.

Plus, like I said earlier, I have the optional touring setup, which makes it ride about 2” higher than the standard suspension package. So, the brochure must be correct for the 11’6” ride height when in standard configuration.

Take your time shopping.
A year. We took two.
There is so much out there.
Trailers are typically shorter!
We love our fifth wheel. 13' 5" or so.

Even thou my fiver was listed as 11'11" it turned out to be 12'6" at the AC so I ended up removing 8" of dirt and concrete to clear the 6" I beam I had installed at 12'2" for the opening oops I should have known that they lie on the specs as the ac sticks up 18" from the point it is mounted on the roof.
