Mail Forwarding
We're planning to be on the move for 3 to 6 weeks (maybe longer) only staying a very short time at any single place. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with Good Sam Mail Forwarding?
Thanks,
Rich

We looked at GS and decided that Saint Brendon's Isle better met our needs - especially since they offer a mail scanning service.

We haven't yet reached the point in our lives where this service is required but I'd probably find a family member who wouldn't mind us forwarding our mail to and having them toss the junk and send us anything that looks important.

Saint Brendon's Isle is exactly what I was hoping to find: simple, inexpensive, straight forward. Thanks BamaBob for the reference. I wish I had a relative that I could use but that won't work for me at this point and for only $12/month I don't want to trouble friends who are busy with their own lives. Thanks though Tim for commenting.

I'll second SBI. They're great folks to deal with.

We're perhaps about to do the same thing as it appears more probable than not that my job is about to dry up. Should that happen we'll take a sabbatical until ski season while I look for a job while on the road, so I'm grateful to hear about SBI - thank you.
At the moment I haven't decided which way to head, so I'm curious: where are you heading?

Well, this is a hang gliding trip with my wife and 13.5 year old lab along for the run (my lab runs and acts like he's 10). If weather permits I'd like to head up to Bear Lake up along the NE Utah/Idaho border and boondock along the east side of the lake - head to Garden City when I need to stock up on supplies. The flying up along Crawford Mountain Ridge at Randolph, Utah is spectacular.
If weather doesn't look good there we're going to head east to other flying sites in eastern Oklahoma, western Arkansas and eastern Tennessee (I know heading east during fall when you live in paradise seems crazy). But eastern Oklahoma, western Arkansas have much more deciduous forests that can be pretty spectacular in fall. Below are photos of Bear Lake, Utah and Magazine Mountain, Arkansas. It would be awesome if our paths were to cross somewhere!!!! I also plan ski trips to Alta (my favorite) & Snowbird.

Should have also said, I'm planning to leave next Tuesday or Wednesday, the 19th or 20th. Will decide which way we go (weather dependent) when I back out of the driveway. I'll post up.

Nice! Yep, Bear Lake is spectacular. I'm thinking, though, that because DW, the dogs and I have the time we should venture further afield this fall. (Also, I suppose you already know this but the east side of the lake is dry camping in campgrounds only - no true boondocking.)
Given the time of year, I'm thinking the desert Southwest is in order. Monument Valley, Flagstaff/Sedona, Lake Powell, and possibly deeper into Arizona, which is somewhat a blank slate for me. Maybe Nevada and even SoCal, too.
If our paths don't cross this trip, be sure to let me know when you make it to Alta. I promise you a personal tour you won't soon forget. I'm there 80-100 days a year - more this year if I get fired. [emoji1]

Thanks. Didn't know that. I've driven around the lake but always boondocked up on Crawfords Mountain Ridge. Not sure where we'll end up on this trip. Depends on which way the wind's blowing, literally.
