Portable BBQ

How would I hook up my portable propane BBQ to the gas line at back of my trailer? What would I need?

Lots of posts on this subject. Suggest you do search on toolbar below your name, also suggest you edit your profile as to what type of RV we are looking at and what type of grill you are trying to hook up. Now, nobody knows!.
Generally , converting from a 16 oz disposable high pressure bottle to low pressure already regulated Lp requires the removal of the regulator and through a reducer fitting, hose and quick coupler pigtail it will get you there. More info please, someone will chide in, if the search feature doesn't get you there first

Is your BBQ one that came with the trailer or is it aftermarket?

Usually the one that comes with the trailer comes with the supplied quick disconnect hose and the BBQ grill works of the low pressure port on the trailer.
you simply connect the two and you are good to go.

Aftermarket type grills are usually high pressure (separate bottle) and require some modification to utilize the low pressure port.

As mentioned, if you are looking to hook up an high pressure grill to your low pressure port, there are lots of prior discussions here on this.

It didn't come with it. So I will have to get a different connector and use 20l tank

Not necessarily.
Many of us have successfully adapted high pressure grills to work off the low pressure quick connect.

Here is one such example...
Camco Gas Control Valve.

If you know how to then you should be able to tap into propane line or run hose from tanks to the grill....
