That is a fine solution to getting your toys where you want to go camping.

No damage to the trailer if he gets a blowout.

Do a image search for campers mounted on goosenecks. You will see some downright fine rigs. Not all of them are poor boy outfits. Buy a gooseneck with a 24k NON-Lippert chassis, and go to town. I like the idea.

Just a couple I had found last week while digging around. Love the underbody storage boxes. They took the time to rid of the fender skirts. I know on some they've added huge water tanks, fuel tanks and generators.

Really popular down south during hunting season! You can load up to 4 side by sides or 4-wheelers!

No doubt, looking at all the different set ups, it's got my mind churning. Several trailer builders in LA that will build whatever you want to your specs.

considering he is pulling with a semi tractor, my guess is he does not hit a lot of "gas" stations. Figure that goose neck is a 38 by looking at it and his turning radius is far better than mine.

I know several people who have mounted everything from small TT to pick-up camper units on goose neck trailers to haul their trail rigs. Considering no one makes a toy hauler with a garage that can handle an off road truck, this is the best solution.

Yep!!

Some of these guys do a fantastic job with these conversions! Out west here you will find quite a few especially in Moab where riding/4 wheeling takes precedence over most everything!!

No doubt. I think the one with the sabre is over 21k gross weight. I read the whole build on that one. 3 - 7k axles. That guy built the trailer, bought the fiver brand new and you see what happened. If you saw the build, he is obviously not a shade tree fabricator, and it isn't his first rodeo building stuff like this. Total rig length is 65 feet from front truck bumper to dove tail, so not as long as one would think.

With the modern RV capacities being very limited, and the famous Lippert issues we all read about, I think the gooseneck idea isn't crazy, it's just plain awesome.
