A minor gripe
I just witnessed this post in one of the treads. I was going to post this there but decided it did not necessarily belong there.

While I am aware of how to find a poster’s info when using the FRF app, there is NO sig. To tell someone to look at the poster’s sig line is like... “stop what you are doing. Launch the web app, look up the OP, or look at the post, find the sig line, etc.” or you yelling, “Hey stupid.”
If the sig line can NOT be added to the FRF app, comments like that should be considered rude!
I am not the person who asked the question. I have seen this same comment before, I.e., look at the poster’s sig line and was irritated then.
If the sig line cannot be added to FRF for each post, then the proper response would be, “click on the poster’s name and the information you seek will be there.” If not, the poster should be advised to complete the info sheet for which would include the requested info.
Sigh. You guys are absolutely great but being a fossil on other lists, I know that simple things are often assumed.
I will step down off my soap box, now.
I could be all wet. If so, please would one of the admin’s educate me?

RobertDS, I really don't think the poster meant any harm here.
I also posted in that thread and almost said "sigline say 2017" but someone posted it before me.
Yes you're right, you cant see siglines in the app. (Note to self) I don't think that always registers with folks when posting, self included.

Those of us who rely solely on the PC would have no clue about the app. Not a capital offense. I don't assume such comments are intentionally rude in origin, just a failed but good faith attempt to be helpful. There is enough unnecessary friction in the world. I think we can afford to give each other the benefit of the doubt here.

I don't have an app., any app. Wouldn't know about them, what it does or doesn't do or how it works. Sounds like something I don' want.

Well I can't help but to ask how does one edit their sig? I could not find the ability to edit my "A little feedback please" logo. Wanting to add vehicle information in sig.

If you have Win 10 you have them, surprised me too.
For the OP, thanks, as I learned something new.

The term app has been adopted by the tech community as a short cut for Application. Apps are smply programs used by many kinds of computing platforms whether a Windows machine, Mac machine, a Linux machine or one of the extremely portable devices Smart, Semi-smart or totally single purpose.
Right now, I am using the web app(lication) running on a server somewhere in the world. It is a multifunctional app that can serve out thousands of page views per minute.
PC or not you run apps.

You are right which is why I posted here vs immediately in the original thread. When I ran across the comment several weeks ago, I was taken aback. I had been using technology instructing educators for quite some time and am very familiar with them. I use this in my email now,

Laboriously PECKED into my iPad because I don't thumb type and the iPad is too large to hold and type.
Which replaced my seven year old teaching sigline,

“Not a capital offense.” You are correct and I have no right to call out anyone. I did it for two reasons.
First, you admit you have no clue about the app. Maybe the OP had no clue about the sigline nor where to find it nor even if that info was available to anyone except by direct inquiry. Not all in this forum are experienced with it or any forum for that matter.
Second, People come here needing help. Does the poster know the person who asked the question about the year? There are several variables that I can think of that might cause that person to ask that question. If everyone was using the same platform and that info was immediately available then the comment could be justified.

It is a bit trickier in the app but once you do it, it come easily enough an is not as obvious as the web.

Same with Tapatalk on my iPad, only way I ever read this forum. No signature line visible. Point should be taken.
