Seems like a waist of money can't find pricing to see how long it would take to pay off, friend put a air dam on his roof at 300 dollars and we figured it would take over 100k to pay its self off with the fuel savings which were almost non existent, best bet is run tires at max pressure and do not tow over 65mph

They are $2.85 each. I would need about 56 of them.
About $160.
I'm wondering more about improved handling, any mpg improvement would be nice too.
"...run tires at max pressure and do not tow over 65mph." That's how I roll!

These popped up a while back, and I think the general consensus was they wouldn't provide enough benefit to make it worth it. More for high speed jobs (airplanes came up) and things like that.

twisty >>>>>> you be the forum tester and product reviewer .
I would like to see your feedback.
For my camper it would be pretty much a loosing proposition as I normally dont travel for more than an hour in any direction except maybe once a year .

Just a quick google search puts them all over the place from maybe 1/2 to 3/4 mpg gain to losing 1/2 mpg. They do seem to make the vehicles a bit more stable when being referenced to MH RV's. GUess it depends on how important 1/2 mpg is to anyone.

You would be very surprised at the number of things done already incorporated into our vehicles that will and do improve the aerodynamic aspect of today's cars. There was a time when that was not true but today with fuel being what it is fuel mileage improvements will help to sell cars/trucks. If some of these hype after market items really made much of a difference the manufacturers would already be doing at least some of it.
TRUE STORY. Several years ago I found out that the school district, at the advice of a new assistant superintendent installed on (70 school buses) around the fuel line a set of 3- magnets at a cost $200 a set. It was supposed to improve fuel mileage. If it really worked, which it does not, why wouldn't the manufacturer run the fuel line next to or around the alternator, which has a magnetic field all the time??? Because it does not work. Oh, by the way they never bother to call me, the local automotive instructor who would have advised them not to spent the $14,000 plus installation. I probably would not have charged them more than a couple of grand for the advice.

Put them on our 08 Flagstaff 831RLSS and they didn't do anything for gas mileage, but they sure did help stabilize the trailer when semis & other big rigs passed. Took just about all the movement out.

Thank you, OldCoot.
Did you put them on both sides and the roof or just the sides?
