Admitting you have a problem is half the battle....

Telling people in a constructive way they are crazy is fine as they may just not know or understand how it works, then most of the time they ignore you and keep posting till they get the answer they want lol

I like the Ram 1500 Diesel, but I already see people are going to think that because it is a diesel, it can tow anything.

I am all for towing with what you have. What is a hundred or two over. I am 100lbs over myself on GVW.

I'm all for being weight the weight police. My luck is the idiot towing overloaded will wreck into me. If you can assure me that you will only wreck solo, and not take anyone else with you, then I will stop getting on people for things like this...

(yes, that is a toyota Rav4)

Till then, I will un-apologetically voice my opinion against people who think its a God-given right to flip down the interstate at 70MPH towing anything that will hitch up to their vehicle.

He probably could tow that if he made a few adjusted
Towing threads are always a good read! But the this guy in the pic is a piece of work.

Seems the guy found a fifth wheel that's well within his specs.

I'm all for pointing out danger when called for, if the details are known. As I used to tell people when they tried to decline safety related repairs on their cars, that's my wife and kids you're beside on the road.

But in general the weight police does get too testy. That's why my truck isn't part of my sig line. I'm over on payload and loaded for a trip I'll be just under on CGVWR.

I once asked the question on another RV forum, is going from a dual slide TT to a triple slide fifth wheel worth the expense. I did say what 5er I was considering as an example, and it's physically similar to the 5er I have now.

I got many, many responses expressing concern and opinion regarding my intelligence. A couple of pages worth. Your truck isn't up to task, that's too much weight, you're going to kill someone.

Not a single answer to my simple question. Yes or no. I had a mod lock the thread and I quit posting there.

This pic is an example of no commonsense being in play...how in the world could you feel this setup is ok!?

It appears this pic was taken while driving down the road at XX MPH. I've been guilty of this also and have decided to put the phone (camera) away and drive. Never can tell when an overloaded vehicle will require your full attention

x2 on the DW being weight police as well. She just looks at some of the TV arriving with a loaded pop up with 6 bikes on top and a boat behind a Pontiac G6 or a Matrix.

He must have a scamp or something small like that. But he is right about no FW for the air suspension.

I speak up when someone is thinking real off. Like some dude wanted to tow a 30+ footer with a Durango. But if someone is close or just over, what is a few pounds.
