Well... Not the whole country. We are in Tucson and it's been in the 70s all week, 78 today. Is that un-pc to say, or something everyone else is tired of hearing? . We went to watch the Street Outlaws Racing filming a show (in shorts and t-shirts). Sweet.

It's winter over where you are, freezingly frigidly cold. What else ya gunna do, huh! At least this keeps the fingers warm.

It's -8 where I am right now with windchill down into the -20s. Sitting right here on my tablet in front of the fire is where I'm going to be for a while.

Humans can survive that? Dang that’s cold. I don’t love the south, but I really don’t want the - temps to go along without the heat. Lest I move to a tropical climate I guess I’m outa luck.

A friend lived in Wyoming for a long time and he said it might be 40-50 below with high winds. That is COLD

From where I live and the temps that I am dealing with, I just have to say that I hate you.

I have heard my statement before from the grand kids. I am tired of those words. But shucks NMWildcat, I amd pretty sure I hate you until my weather changes.

It's not the temp that feels bad, it's the humidity.

Hmm. Perhaps I should be less unhappy about week after week of fourty degrees and raining.

Last month the sky had two colors; light gray and dark gray. Sometimes we crave more than two seasons.

This thread reminds me of Weird Al's song 'Word Crimes'.

One of the times I got married(May of 99) we were in Vegas and it was upper 90s and hot! It came a monsoon(their words) one day and water was going everywhere for little while...maybe that's why it was so hot?

I Advise You To Ask For Advice

I know I’m being picky, but I constantly see folks on here use advise for advice and advice for advise. Sound out the words. Advise has a “z” sound and advice has a soft “s” sound. There are plenty of other grammatical and spelling mistakes made, some by incorrect autocorrect, but that one is seen every day.

Seems to have been left out of the Curriculum for the past 40 years.

I wonder about lay and lie?

I am bothered by the use of the word "mute" when the writer really means "moot." Perhaps that is also an auto-correct issue.

And those who say "That needs to be done sooner than later".

WHAT??? Does that even make sense?

Oh, you mean "that needs to be done sooner RATHER than later." My last boss (before I retired) would work "sooner than later" into almost every conversation. Ugh...

CampingGator, I Advise You To Ask For Advice from the Advisory board on How To Ask For Advice.

My advice to you is not to fret about it. Many of us have not been in a classroom in many years. With all the different dialects used across the country, everyone is not going to talk or spell the way.

My grandparents and Dad were born in Tennessee and Kentucky, respectively. I was born and raised in northern Indiana and spent the last 35 years in Wisconsin. If you would talk to me face to face you will find that I have an accent not normally found in Wisconsin. I use google a lot to find the spelling for words when I'm typing up responses to the forums or writing a letter because I pronounce some words differently than other people.

JMHO. There are more important things to worry about.

rjshiflet, "That needs to be done sooner than later" makes sense to me.

Something as trivial as this topic doesn't even deserve a thread. How is this related to RVing.
This thread needs to be removed I think.
