Are you tired of these words ?
How many people on the forum are like me and are tired of having to use the term ‘It Could Have Been Worse’ ?
I find myself saying it just to make myself feel better anymore a lot of my so called ‘It Could Have Been Worse’ moments are caused by other ‘s actions like bad customer service experiences, dealing with dishonest and low moral individuals, etc.
I’m sure everyone can think of something that you had to deal with that you shouldn’t have in the first place and muttered those words. I know I’m ranting but I hope everyone’s 2018 has less of them.

in many cases, the words "could have been avoided" would describe the same incident even better

Just a little pleading from one of the site team...
We see threads that start off like this one going off the rails pretty frequently. Everyone has their own horror story or beef about something.
My story is worse than your story or example threads just too often take
on a life of their own as the rhetoric and bad memories fuel the fire.
I'm not sure what this thread hopes to accomplish but we ask you to
keep it civil and away from the usual government bashing or really any bashing at all.
Have a great day and I for one hope you don't hear any words you "hate to hear".
Happy Trails!

As long as they say, "Could have been worse," or "Could've been worse," I'm OK with it. It's when they say, "Could of been worse," that I throw up in my mouth a bit.

Yeah.....you’re “prolly” right about some of these words and phrases.
Another one is “they aks me what I tot”
Seems the English language has taken a major hit lately, and now that everyone insists on texting/facebooking/twittering and whatever...
We SEE how poorly people are equipped to know when to use to, too, or two.
Arrrrrrrgh!

Another one that is annoying.
Watup
A word created and frequently used for "whats up"
An extremely annoying question that has (unfortunately) replaced "Hello" or "Hi" as the most popular form of casual greeting.

the term the op describes simply should be said as: "sometimes we take for granted what we have, our health, and our blessings... it could be a LOT worse - thankfully are alive and well!"

My DH's favourite mantra is "it can always be worse". Although annoying at times it does remind me that no matter what my current problems may be - someone out there has it much much worse. Puts things into perspective.

Could have been worse!
WE in this great nation need to remember every day we are blessed way beyond what we truly deserve. People in the middle east and other places are KILLED for some of the things we say and do on a regular basis. Put it in perspective and enjoy .. smile and watch what happens.
