Sadly, each time we've had ranger visits in PA (except 1) - they were justified. Not so much due to the drink, just a group of us getting together and getting a little louder than we should.

We bring it with us. If it is hot and we are both hitting the beer then we have to pick up more. For the hard stuff, I like Jack and she likes Cherry whiskey. We never run out of that. If I drink more than my ration she ends up chasing me around the campground. Learned my lesson there years ago.

I try to stay boycott campgrounds that are hard core no alcohol. I am not sure how they stop you if you are inside but even so, I like to drink and sit around the fire.

Thanks to all of you who replied - I learned about some new beverages that I never heard of before and might try.

We normally don't drink alcohol, at home or camping (health reasons). Most parks in Texas say no open consumption. Once in a while we do carry a few beers and some wine coolers.. I have a bottle of 12 yr old scotch at home that I've had for 6 yrs.and it's still half full. We do go through a case of bottled water each camp out in the summer. We don't carry many sodas either. We mostly drink coffee and water.
