Black Tank Slide Valve

Got back from supper last night and had a bad smell in the 5er. Thought maybe Dusty had her 1st accident, but after looking around decided she hadn't, further investigation revealed a wet spot under the basement about 12" dia. Upon opening the Coroplast, discovered the slide valve end that the rod sticks thru had broken and was leaking where the little round seal pulled out. Went to Camping Connection this morning and bought 2 slide valves and installed one and now have a spare. Also put a temporary stop on the long rod to prevent pulling the handle too far and bottoming out on the plastic end of the valve. Will make 2 aluminum ones when I get home to add one to the grey tank rod also.
