Question cover for slide out control panel

We are trying to figure out how to make a cover for the slide out control button* in our new 2011 2304S even before we bring it home the end of this month - we know our 16 month old grandson is going to have a blast pushing the control. Anyone out there already come up with an idea, we can't be the only ones facing this problem!?
Thanks!

You could add a master switch inside the cabinet that would disconnect the 12 volts supply to the slide out control switch. Out of sight out of mind??

Slide switch covers:

Someone here also had found a small medicine cabinet thing at a home improvement store that was wood with a nice door on it. They mounted it around the switches to conceal them but I can't find the post.

cover for slide out button

Thank you! I'll either get a pre-made thermostat lock box cover or get some wood to make my own. Great ideas, appreciate it!
