Normally I would say I've had to many BBC'S BUT IVE passed two fuel stations today and diesel is less than gas !
I'm not complaining either!
Gas has appeared to go up and diesel has stayed the same.

Fuel costs irritate me. I'm looking into a Volt in a year or two...GM announced earlier this year they intend to drop the price 10K. Imagine, rarely buying gas.

Diesel is just over $4 up here in northern Ohio. Heading south toward home over next two weeks and hope it is less that way.

I don't have to "imagine". I've been driving one since mid-2011! It's great! I used to put gas in occasionally for longer trips, but all of our "longer trips" lately have been with the Sanibel in-tow.

With that on my first combat deployment back in 04 I thought for sure diesel would be low in the U.S. after seeing that most other countries operate on diesel almost exclusively! Not the case when I returned!!! Crazy

2 reasons. The winter is ending, and with it demand for HHO (home heating oil) is falling rapidly. As HHO is nearly identical to diesel, we are awash in a sea of diesel. I've been diesel since '94 and I remember paying the 'winter tax' every year as HHO demand went up.
Reason 2 is that we are not exporting as much diesel as we usually do. When we changed to ultra low sulfer diesel (ULSD), our diesel became compatible with diesel used in the EU. We've been a net exporter of ULSD for a couple of years now. If you ever wonderd how gas can fluctucate wildly, but diesel stays pretty steady, that's why.

Not sure why we arent exporting as much, or if its only temporary.

I really dont care what the price of diesel is. I drive my truck on weekends and to pull the camper. I do not have a smart phone, and bring lunch in every day to work. if I was worried about the price I would of got a gasser, and or a smaller trailer, or none at all. When I need fuel I just fill it and price is not my main concern, but clean fuel is...
