Do you have a name sign?
Not really of topic but didn't know where else to put it;
I've seen so many wooden name signs on posts out in front of RVs.
We wanted something different. On July 4th we saw one I *love* and it just so happens the guy who had it lives 1/4 mile from us.
He made his, so I asked him to make me one. It's a lamp post. DH picked it up yesterday.
When I get the name tag made I'll post a pic of it.
What y'all got? Show pics!

Crusader
We have had one for the SunnyBrook for years and just now got around to working on one for the Crusader. Plan to cut it out Saturday, then start the paint work, later I will add the vinyl lettering. Making the first one was fun, need to find some way to make them last longer.

Our sign was made by a vendor at the State Fair. I clear coat it at the beginning of each camping season.

Herk, I like your sign. Very classy. I have a question\comment....We have a wooden sign we hang from the pin box. My Lippert box does NOT have that large forward facing lip on it like yours. It looks essential in keeping the chain from sliding off. Did you fab that?

We're a bit concerned about letting random people know we're away from the S&B. I'm thinking about just putting the names we use regularly and our hometown on a plaque. Since I use my legal first name relatively infrequently, except during my time as a Boeing employee (retired in Sept 1998), maybe the gremlins won't realise that our house doesn't have the big white box-on-wheels outside.
Of course, our last name is a give-away. The only "Damps" in the area are our kids, one of whom lives in suburban Tokyo. There are others with the surname in the Wisconsin/Michigan area who are descended from a family member who was a coachman in Queen Victoria's household. He did something heroic that got him the fare to emigrate. The family tree says he and his wife had 23 children.
It will be interesting to see if we have any gremlins this week, as our daughter and her room-mate are using our rig at a soccer tournament, so it isn't parked alongside the house. We're still home. but observers may not realise that.

Unlike Herks, our "standard" pin box has that same lip shaped into it without having a capture plate. Ours is a 2012 Silverback.

Nice signs! I'm thinking about having a cedar one made.
Until I get that done I'm gonna take the two dealer tags that came on our new truck (front and back), turn them inside out and glue them together, then just use peel and stick lettering.
We're privacy radicals so we won't be using our last name.
Regarding the "TT isn't at their house, hmmmm" problem; we have two neighbors across the street and one next door who watch our place.
Having it gone these two weeks will throw them off a bit too, if anyone had that idea, since the TT's gone and we're here.
Additionally, we have a security system and two outdoor cameras rolling, one indoor camera rolling and a separate monitoring system in the great room.

We just have our names, no city. I'm not worried about burglars; someone comes to my S&B every other day to look in on my kitties. I'll get a photo of it on Friday, our next camping trip.

Ordered this one when I got the FRF signs for the trailer. Plan to fab a plexi to hang at campground. Looks like I need to think more exotic.

We have a veterinarian in our camping/geocaching group who is extremely talented and smart. She has hand-painted all of us camping signs, that display our geocaching nicknames.
Here are pics of some of them. She originally gave us some wire sign posts that you just step on to drive in the ground. Although I don't have current pics, another member of our group has since made us some of the solar lighted pvc posts, that not only have the light, but an extended bar so we can hang our signs on....and are much sturdier. After looking at the forum here with the flags, I may modify mine even more to hang a flag on.
http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ole-43951.html
Here are a few pics of her handiwork:
So HERmit (and everyone else) if you see any of these signs at the campground, please stop by and say "Hi".
