Where we lived in Parma we could hear CKLW strong every day because it propagated across Lake Erie. Pat St. John, one of their DJs, has a show on SiriusXM 60's On 6 and still plays their theme tune.

So "Do You Remember When" also includes "When AM radio was king!"

43 and 61, actually. I worked as an engineer for WSUM-1000 AM when it came on the air in 1973. My buddy was an engineer at WUAB-43 TV when they had their production studio and station over at Parmatown, before the building burned to the ground. That studio was really cool. They had Sony Trinitron monitors all over the place when the Trinitron was brand new and still massively expensive. They had this cool subdued blue lighting throughout the station.

Barnaby a.k.a. Lynn Sheldon, had the 11 AM to noon show where he told stories on the radio station I worked for. I produced his show. He was a great person and lead an extremely interesting life. And he lived in Middleburg Heights!

We used one of those percolators when we backpacked. Still have the pot, as we used it for heating water in the campfire. Lightweight and easy to pack.

I remember my grandparents would put 3 scoops in the basket for morning coffee, then when a fresh pot was needed they would add another scoop. By the end of the day the basket was full.

My wife bought me an Estes Saturn V for Christmas several years ago. I built it but haven’t painted it. She recently got me a Lego Saturn V. Then a Lego lunar module and just this year a Lego International Space Station for my birthday. She’s the BEST!

It's funny you mention that. I was just on metv's website not an hour ago and was reading this article link below about series ending episodes.

https://metv.com/lists/9-times-netwo...assic-tv-shows

They had this to say about The Twilight Zone (which I have on dvd's). and am going to go watch that episode later just to hear it and see if it is true.

"The Bewitching Pool" was not intended to be the final episode of The Twilight Zone. A tale of divorce and a magical swimming pool, the season five episode was meant to air in March of 1964. Problems arose during post-production. The outdoor footage had aggressively loud background noise from the studio lot, making the audio recording unusable. The cast had to return to re-record and dub in new dialogue. Unfortunately, actress Mary Badham, who played the daughter who dives in the mystical pool, had returned home to Alabama. The studio was unwilling to pony up the money to fly her back to L.A. for some audio dubbing. Instead, producers hired ace voice actress June Foray to dub in the voice of the character. Which is why the character Sport Sharewood speaks with a Southern accent indoors and suddenly sounds exactly like Rocky the Flying Squirrel when she's by the pool (as seen here). Once you learn it's June Foray doing the voice, it's hard not to hear Rocky! Which is better than getting the Bullwinkle guy, I suppose. Because of all that fuss, "The Bewitching Pool" did not air until June, a month after the penultimate episode.

I remember a radio station called WMPC in the DC area. That was back in 1961, before I moved to Alaska.

They had a jingle "W M Pea - See" that is still stuck in my head.

As kids my dad gave us crew cuts. We couldn't grow our hair long until graduation from grammar school.
