Like, my father planted Mimosa trees in our yard (in RI), originally from China, and they get quite large.

Mimosa trees are considered weeds here in the Ozarks. Not kidding, more than one person will say that here. Yes they do spread quite rapidly in most of the woods here. They are pretty but very messy in your yard. The deer like to nip them off after they sprout and get about a foot high.

WLS was started in 1924 by Sears, Roebuck & Co in which the call sign is the abbreviation for Sears' "World Largest Store" slogan.

same in SE PA, they popup like weeks. But if they are allowed to grow up they attract many humming birds.

I remember Pat Saint John from his WPLJ and WNEW days in NYC. He, and a ton of other djs from WNEW eventually made it to the various rock channels on Sirius.

It was a shame when WNEW changed their format. One of the new shows at the time, though, was Opie and Anthony. These guys were funny, nearly made me pee in my pants every day, until they pushed the envelope too far and got canned.

COMBAT! starring Vic Morrow (Sgt. Saunders), Rick Jason (Lt. Hanley), and Dick Peabody as Littlejohn (the big guy). Ran from 1962 to 1967. You can still catch it on H&I (Heroes & Icons Network).

I still have one of these. Use it to heat water on the stove then pour it into the MyJoe coffee maker.

He uttered an epithet or two and w ed both became 'skinheads'. Got the same haircut when I went in the Army 12 years later.

I had the trainer with the rubber bands that held the wings on and tether line and you turned in circles. Roached the plane and used the motor and prop for a air boat I built. Last seen in 1975 heading south down the Missouri river near Iowa. Had a 8 ounce fuel container. I assume it went a LONG WAY.

I had an airplane with cox engine. Didn't have the wind up spring start so you had to flip prop over with your finger. Still have the scar to this day on my finger when I wasn't quick enough.

Still carry one in the rig. Great on a campfire on a chilly morning or evening.

Lol. They would put the hurt on you.

I recently “got back into” RC stuff. Funny though I enjoy crawlers now. They are slow like me.

Before Digital and Smartphones---------

If the flash bulb didn't go off the first time you removed the bulb and licked the contacts

When the roll was finished you had to wait a week to see who's head you cut off in the picture or see if the "bunny ears" you created behind your sister's head showed up.
