And to set the dwell you really didn't need to have a meter. The instructions, IIRC, were something like turn tool until engine started to misfire then back off a certain amount. I think I still have the flexible tool with allen wrench on the end in my toolbox.
Haven't owned a Chevy with a distributor in it since 1969 but I never throw away tools.

I had a '61 Impala SS with a 283ci with a 4 barrel Rochester and a Hurst T-shifter. White with a baby blue interior.
Sure wish I'd kept it.

Just ran into a guy and gal that had a 68 Impala with a small TT who were camping on the WA Coast two weeks ago.
Didn't catch the make/model of the TT but it was fairly small and they had a tent that extended from the side to provide room to lounge around.
Took me back a few decades.
BTW, the car was "showroom beautiful".

Not me. I preferred a fluorescent lamp ballast, a battery, and a switch.
With switch on I'd touch the two terminals on top of the cigar box that enclosed it then dared my (soon to be ex-) buddy to do the same. When he did I would turn the switch off. That's how a coil works when using DC. Not much shock when power is turned on, but when turned off, let's just say enLIGHTNING.

Better. When I was in vocational electronics in high school we would charge up all of the big ones on the shelf, about 6" tall and 3" in diameter, and wait for someone to grab one for a lab experiment.

Growing up near the shore of Lake Erie, I recall seeing Amphibicars in the 60's several times.
There is an annual rally gathering at Grand Lake St. Mary's near Celina in western Ohio.
It's still going on after 2 decades.

Many years ago I was at the boat launch in Coeur d’alene (Idaho) and saw an amphibious car cruising on the lake and then just drove right up the ramp into town. A fun sight to see.

Disney bought a bunch of these amphibious cars for a ride.
I remember seeing one all the time in a nearby town when i was growing up. They werent much of a car or much of a boat. Combine them, and it is at least interesting!

I remember our instructor in Auto Shop asking the class if they wanted to see an experiment in automotive secondary ignition systems. Naturally, the class said yes. We had an old late '50's Ford station wagon that a local dealer had donated to the school for Auto Shop class. The instructor had us start the vehicle and raise the hood. As usual, everyone gathered around the car, leaning on the fenders or radiator support. Our instructor told everyone to pay attention as he raised his legs off the ground while leaning on the car and pulled off a spark plug wire. Everyone leaning on or touching the car was instantly ZAPPED! We all got an unforgettable lesson on the secondary and what grounding will do that day.

I made a 4" cube from thin balsa wood, glued on 2 pieces of aluminum foil so each sheet covered 3 surfaces insulated from one another with scotch tape. Inside I placed a small transformer, a D-cell battery and a micro switch with a 1 inch lever bent to go through a hole in the bottom. I set it on my desk. When someone picked it up the switch would close and they would get a shock. If you knew how to pick it up there wasn't a problem.
