He should have bought the 3500 ! I bet it is hard for that Chevy to push that big RV with the wind resistance from that boat !

I was think he might have to down the boat ramp farther than most to get it floating off.

That Carrier is designed for All Terrain vehicles. There are ramps built in but it is not designed for this much weight. High center of gravity with all the weight can put a lot of load on one side at a time, tires might just blow.

Sketchy at best. But different strokes for different folks. If they asked me to put that on my flat bed semi trailer I would have some strong reservations. Wind and light weight = but pucker moments t

not sure how the pontoon fits under the under passes though.

However, I don't think its safe at all, but I'm more impressed how they got the pontoon up there on the truck like that

I would like to see how it loads and uploads.

back when we had a TT, I actually built a ramp system to haul the boat on top of the truck, but it was top heavy enough with our little boat that I abandoned it after the test run. I can't imagine if it had been as heavy as that pontoon boat.

If it's not photoshopped the only thing I can think of is the only difference between genius and stupidity is genius has its limits.

The video pretty much debunks the photoshopped idea and if the guy knows (and probably does) the overall height, he should be just fine.

That pontoon boat + accessories probably weighs 2-2.5K so the boat + passengers and other gear is close if not exceeding the CCC of the truck. Not to mention it looks like the boat is adding a few feet to the overhead clearance of the MoHo...low bridge ahead!
