Found the Weirdest rock !!

Ok. I will admit it...if I had found it. I would be kinda like the long long long trailer....it would have followed me home even if I had to go back and “frog watch” after dark. Shhhhhh.

It is a river rock that had an other stone that spun around in circles and cut the holes in it. Good find

My first thought was water erosion, but then I thought about it more. I was in this part of the creek about 10 times before this and it wasn't visible. When we had the flood in March, the force of the water removed about a foot of sediment which uncovered the rock. No way of telling how long it's been buried under the creek, and has only been exposed for a month maybe.

I'm a retired geologist and it looks like limestone or dolomite to me. The holes could be from solution instead of erosion. Where was it located, as that will tell you a lot about what it might be? And have you tested it with a hydrochloric acid solution?

We have rocks like that all over our property in the foothills of Texas hill country just northwest of San Antonio. Limestone country.

The rock was marked and placed there by the Templars hundreds of years ago. The round depression with a "t*t" in the center is a symbol indicating buried treasure below. Time to bring in an excavator. You could end up very wealthy...

BTW, I know what I'm talkin' 'bout. I watch shows about Yamashita's hidden gold and buried treasure on Oak Island.

Always dangerous from a picture but it looks like basalt or greenstone (generic term for lots of green metamorphic rocks). The round erosional features could have been formed, then the rock buried during later streambed sediment higher energy high water flows and then later excavated during another high energy high water flow flood. I used to listen to the large boulders rolling down the river bed catfish fishing at night. It was cool. The sediments on stream and river beds are constantly in motion. The higher the flow the bigger the size of rock that will move.

This is a Lunar meteorite and he is going to adopt me after he sells it. My parents won’t care...they are gone. Can I bring wife and grandchildren...I will leave the rest.

Basalt eroded by water, a meteorite would have "melted" features. I hope I'm wrong and you get a new 5th wheel and truck.

Fossilized grayling from a planet far, far away. You notice it doesn't have arms or legs, that means all controlling of objects and movement was done by mind control. Looks like there might have been some concretions in the hollows and holes of that sedimentary rock that were washed out.
