There's no reason for the price to be 1/2 what it is except they are sticking it to us all. There is an unlimited supply of hydrogen but that would put all energ / utility companies out of business so you will never see much use of nitrogen as long as big money is in control.

Just paid C$1.09 per liter at Costco in Calgary. Allowing for the exchange rate and conversion to US gallons that equates to U$3.68 a gallon. It's also the cheapest I've seen it around here for a long time but still way overpriced compared to our southern neighbors.

Filled my jeep with regular at $3.03 a gallon today. Diesel still at $3.65 though. Needless to say the jeep is my daily driver.

We're $3/gal give or a take a few pennies around the Raleigh, NC area.

One thing that would help with oil and gas prices would be to stop speculation unless the purchaser is going to take physical delivery of the product. While I realize this is not practical, speculation is a fairly major factor in the price increases that have occurred over the past 20 years or so.

It's down to $1.25 a litre here in Penticton. Still an outrageous price for stuff dug out of the ground here in our own country....but someone has to pay for all the 20 years old's driving $80,000 pick up trucks around these parts I guess.

$3.55 for Diesel in Council Bluffs IA, But I hear that their blaming the low oil prices on the Stock Market problems so the low prices probably won't last much longer.

Millions of barrels of the stuff in the north of AB. We just lack enough refining capacity so end up shipping most of it south then having to import the refined product at a much greater price. Really sucks!

Well, we currently won't allow a pipeline to ship it south to us. So, were shipping it by rail instead, woefully inefficient, increasing emissions, etc., but that's how were handling the roadblock. The short is the North American continent now has discovered more oil than we every dreamed of just 10 short years ago. So, we will both continue to "drill baby drill".
