I topped the fuel tank off on my rv, added fuel stabilizer, and ran the engine and generator for around 15 min before putting it in enclosed storage.
Cost about $6 to treat 40 gallons, so to me it's cheap insurance.
I also go out 3x over the winter pull it out, run the engine and gen for 30 min, and check for any issues. (Mice, dead batteries, tires, etc)
Likely overkill, but I paid quite a bit for the thing so I want to take care of it.
