DANG! I got the wrong weekend. It's MARCH 9-11. (I glanced at my watch, added 2 days, got the 9th, and thought, Hey, it's this weekend. BUT: Feb weekend dates are the same as March weekend dates.) Guess I fell victim to wishful thinking.

Is that this weekend? Wow, that really snuck up on me. I haven't even seen any of the $1.00 off admission coupons anywhere. Usually I'll see those a few weeks in advance.

It's doubtful we'll go this year. Especially if the weather is nasty. We went last year only because we were looking for a new CG because we weren't 100% happy with the one were were in. This year we aren't in the market for a new camper or a new CG.

We walked through the campers they had there last year but have yet to find anything we like better than what we have now.

Well that explains it.

We have a high of 79 today and it's a bit humid. Still in the boat with the rest of you though because we work full time and it's difficult to find open campsites in Florida because of the snowbirds full timing it down here during our nice weather season. We still camp in the summer when it's 95 and muggy as all get out because it's our main opportunity.

This is our first full winter or off season as new RV owners. We took our last trip over Thanksgiving weekend and winterized the next week. We've been counting the days down to Easter break since January 1st.
We're now at 35 more school days to Easter break and first camping trip!

How we're passing the off season...

1) Watching Youtube RV videos
2) Working on our own RV Youtube channel
3) Doing maintenance and updates on the RV
4) RV shows
5) Researching and planning our 2018 RV schedule.

Last year was such a mild winter here in WV but this year is making up for it and making the wait seem even longer.

It was pretty cold last night in Phoenix. When I woke up I realized the wife had cranked down the AC.

Meh. We've just had another foot of snow to go with the foot we got last weekend. Day time high of -20oC today and temperatures not expected to go above freezing for at least a week and the threat of a another winter storm next Tuesday or Wednesday. Enough!

Last camping for 2017 was over the Christmas Holidays, almost had to turn the heater on, got down to low 60's at night. First trip this year was third week in January. Had to run A/C in the middle of the day, and used electric heater at night. Even put long pants on a few times with a light jacket. I feel a little sad for all of you that have cold weather and have to winterize. On the other hand I'm sure you get some extra joy out of it when you do go. Where and when you go, I'm thankful to all of you that share your knowledge and thoughts here.

Yep. This is the reason I hate winter...well, one of the reasons. Survival school in Fairbanks Alaska, 1985. It was only -30 or so degrees. My mustache was frozen for 3 days in a row! I HATE WINTER!

See, this guy gets it.

The rest of you can go start your own, "I love winter" thread.

I spent 15 minutes shoveling my driveway last night, then another 20 minutes this morning shoveling AGAIN because it snowed all night long.

For those that love winter:

I hope your rump freezes to an outhouse toilet seat.

Might be able to sell that photo to the car owner for insurance purposes...
