I hate winter thread...

They say misery loves company. So I say to my fellow RVers who are dealing with the cold and the snow. Those who closed up and winterized their RVs last fall and have done nothing but look longingly at them in their driveways and storage lots and seasonal sites all under a blanket of white powder. Help me count down the days until camping season as we look to the sky while grumbling and complaining about every flake that falls.

We had about an inch and a half fall the other day and another inch last night. On my drive into work this morning I heard a prediction of 7-9 more inches this weekend. April can’t come soon enough.

As of today, there are 65 days left until we depart for Orlando, FL on our first trip of the season. 52 days until we uncover and start bringing her back to life.

I put ours to rest for it's winter nap in early Nov, to off set that we went to Disney for the Christmas and New Years week ( condo ) now spending the rest of the winter out west in Taos ski valley praying for the snow that everyone else is getting. Got a whole inch yesterday but we really need a lot more. Be home back east for our 1st camping weekend in April.

Some of us came south to escape it, and have had 6 weeks of sub freezing temps anyway.

Next year, I'm renting a BIG barge, taking my rig on it, and sailing about 300 miles further south in the gulf. And just sit there till it warms freaking up!!!

We had ice on bridges overnight. My trailer is in the shop having several things done under an extended service plan. I called the service department Monday to get a status update since I can see the first outing coming soon. They have received the wrong axle 2x and are looking for the correct one. My task is to press them until they finish all 6 line items BEFORE our first scheduled trip.

The Groundhog says there's 6 more weeks of winter. Go take in a RV show or 2, go out to lunch.( not at the show on the lunch!) It'll ease the withdrawals. Be sure to tell yourself how much you still like the one you have. April will be here before you know it

Dangit! You went to the wrong state(s)!!!

Here in southern AZ and NM, we haven't really had any winter. I got out the big coat for about 3 days. Now I'm back to t-shirts during the day and light jackets at night.

Just got back from a 16 day RV trip. Not to rub it in or anything

We had sleet and ice in North Central Arkansas last night.

Leaving Friday for 10 days on the gulf. Looking forward to not needing the heat on.

Someday, I'm going to print out a photo of a snowblower and drive south until I can show that photo to someone and they answer "What's that?"

It's interesting, my calendar says the same thing. Every year I count the number of days between groundhog day and the first day of spring and every year it's ≈ 6 weeks, no matter what the groundhog sees or doesn't see.

Funny how that works...

AS NMWildcat has stated, down here in SE Arizona, we have not had our typical Cooler winter this year. Mostly pleasant in the 70's day time and 30's at night. I 3/4 time down here when working and go home to Phoenix when not working.

Hey, Code, the RV show is this Fri-Sun (Feb 9-11) at the Indoor Soccer Center on Riverside.

(If the 7-9 inches doesn't get us!)

That's this weekend? Me and the DW might have to crank up big red truck and hit that one. It's been pretty good in the past
