I hear you questioning the counter space but the counter on the wall that backs the bath is plenty big in our current model and there is also room on each side of the sink. No complaints from the DW about that... yet!

The ideal floorplan is the Rockwood 8329SS (TT) or 8299BS (5er).
Anyone who disagrees is wrong.

There... that ought to give everyone something to do for the next few days...

How did you make up that drawing?

I have to be honest- I'm still not 100% certain what discussion you're trying to get out of this thread?
Do you want people to list their must haves/must not haves/want to haves + justification in a post? Or their favorite floorplan + reasoning?

How about the Flagstaff sisters?
We have the 8529IKBS. Only took 5 minutes!

As others have mentioned, there is no perfect plan, just ones that suit the individual family the best for their needs. My wife and I picked up a gently used 340RK 5'r over a year ago and really like the overall layout. It is not perfect by any means, but overall is just what we like. A larger kitchen area in the rear, a mid living room area, a nice sized bathroom with a full 60" wide and normal depth shower, and a comfy master bedroom is a full sized queen bed currently, and can be modified easily to accept a king sized bed. Once again, almost perfect for our needs.

Inferior?
It's the same thing off the same line!

Well, in 2000, we had a popup and it was DH and myself and 2 large labs. We slept in one king bed and used the other for storage. That was the ideal floorplan for us THEN.
In 2004 when our DD arrived, that popup was no longer ideal and we purchased a used 2004 hybrid with a wet bath. My parents started going with us because they couldn't stand the thought of "their" little baby being away from them for weeks at a time. That was the ideal floorplan for us THEN.
DD #2 arrived in 2007 and grandparents were still going with us, especially now. A quad bunkhouse with the superslide was the ideal floorplan THEN.
Grandparents quit going, girls grew and then I retired. We started camp hosting at state parks and the bunkhouse got SMALL and we traded for a used 2010 front bunkhouse fifth wheel. That became the ideal floorplan THEN.
We are still camp hosting and the girls have different interests and so we have a mid-bunk 43' fifth wheel with a loft. It has a big living area that we can all four sit in and watch a movie or whatever. Now, it's the ideal floorplan. When the girls leave for college in a few years, it probably won't be the ideal floorplan THEN.

Look at toy haulers with the second bathroom and the two beds for when the grandparents stay over.

Does not really matter. I'm looking for commonality of choices in the world of the possible. I thought it would be an interesting thread, especially useful to those buying their 1st RV. Maybe, just maybe, someone will list a killer feature that will become a must have.
BTW, I fit in the Sonoma shower which, I'm pretty sure, means that you would too.

Any poor dirt farmer can buy a Flagstaff. It takes a man of class, distinction and good taste to buy a Rockwood.
