In need of help/suggestions

Hello All,

It's with a heavy heart that I write to tell you my husband, fellow member here, aerohead34 passed away on November 7. He had a massive bleed on his brain stem. He was an organ donor so they were able to keep him on life support for several days to facilitate that. It gave us time to all gather to "say goodbye".

I am unable to keep our 2017 Ram Dual Wheel 3500. I have it up for sale on FB marketplace with a price of $56k. High retail is $58k, which was the first price I posted it for. I lowered it a little. I wanted some negotiating room in the price.

Are there any other places I could put an ad up for free or super cheap that might help me sell it? I have already been to the dealer and to CarMax. Both offered me mid-40K for it. I'm not willing to give up that much of my equity. Aerohead34 left me no life insurance, we have two kids still at home, and I'm in need of some cash to pay other bills. I'm selling small things online and through word of mouth, but I really could use that equity. If you have any ideas for me I sure would appreciate the ideas. I'm already hurting from my loss, I don't want to give away the truck too & feel like I'm leaving money on the table.

First, my condolences. I can’t even imagine.

I would try a few places:

- FB Marketplace
- Craigslist (brace yourself for all the scammers; I’d only do the deal meeting at the bank, no wiring funds, no shippers, and proceed with caution)
- OfferUp app
- LetGo app
- Talk to relatives and friends
- Put up signs on bulletin boards at local campgrounds (with permission)
