Well at least a couple of people are having fun maybe, we just had family pics this afternoon @4. Tons of fun (not) with 3 cranky, hungry kids- and me!

An old friend from West Virgina is out to see family. Had him and another friend over, we polished off a handle of Maker's Mark. I should probably get showered and dressed, another friend is having a birthday lunch at 2 at the local steakhouse...

Those are always frustrating. If our pictures showed how we really were at that time I would be red in the face and at least two of mine would be fighting.

Yep, I think someone had their tongue out, or a finger in their nose or mouth in over half of them. And for once it wasn't just me

I just painted some shelfs in my wifes pantry that I built today. One of those things I never got too when we were trying to finish building the house a year and a half ago.

WELLLLLLLLLL

It finally happened.

BBQ with my buddy was cancelled. We drank so much last night, he had to go the ER today.

They are running some tests and we're waiting to hear back. He was having severe abdominal pains. Appendix, gall stones, just bad indigestion or an ulcer??

I have a feeling it was. He said he had it once before after drinking a lot, just this time was way worse.

I think its old age sneaking up on us.

Yeah that old age thing kinda scares the crap out me. But on the plus side I don't puke from drinking like I did when I was a kid.

[QUOTE=MillerTime;281283]Seriously melbornj, what kinda project does one do with a fire hydrant?[/QUOT

About a year ago I was at a flea market with DW and her mother. There was a guy there with a fire hydrant and I offered him $20 he said $100 , I said $20 he said he paid $50 I said $20 he said okay $40 I said deal. My plan is to blast all the rust off of it and repaint it. Thinking blank and gold (Go Hawkeyes!). Turbs I'll be in Iowa on Saturday how much? and how big is it?

Well, they are going to open him up and take out his gall bladder. Don't know if thats going to happen tonight or maybe Monday morning.

bumpback device?

We do bumpfiring, where you hold the gun loosely and the recoil makes it bounce back and forth in your hands so your trigger finger keeps bumping the trigger and making it shoot again.

I'd say be careful, I don't know how legal any of the bumpback devices are... I want to say the ATF ruled that shoelace on the old Garand/M14s made it a machine gun?? I've seen the rubberband trick. The rubberband goes on the bottom of the trigger, around the trigger guard, then back to the trigger. It helps get the trigger reset faster for easier bumpfiring.

I dunno how well a .22 will bumpfire. You want a gun with some good recoil vs weight. That AK in the pic won't bumpfire with the drum, its too heavy. But regular 30 round mags are a blast. I can't really get the ARs to bumpfire, not enough recoil.

Sweetest bumpfiring gun has to be the M1A Socom. .308 rounds, short 16" barrel, lightweight, lots of recoil...

With ammo prices what they are, I just can't afford to go rip through 1000 rounds in one afternoon.

I'm pretty sure DW would kill me if I put it inside. She said no when I said I was buying it. I got to listen to her for over an hour on the way home saying "Look there's one and another one" every time we passed a fire hydrant
