Need an opinion on Hwy 30

I'm traveling from Portland Oregon to Kansas City this week. According to all the mapping programs, they say to stay on 84S to 80E, I would like to see if going from Pocatello ID to just about Green River Wyo is a good alternative, Hwy 30? I'm hauling a 52 Ford panel van on a car hauler.

Wish I could help but I can't what I can offer is hiway 30 through Eastern Iowa sucks !!!!
Not that you'll be going through Iowa but a heads up in the future lol !

We have used US 30 as an alternative to the SLC/Ogden area on our way to and from Washington state many times. Good road and not much traffic once you get off I-15 a few miles.
