No food in the truck

Has anyone else banned food from your truck? The wife seems to think that it is a bit overboard to not allow the kids to eat in the truck. I disagree of course (especially Cheetos). Hey kids, when you buy a $70,000 truck. Go ahead and do what ever you want to it. But in my truck, sit down, shut up, and enjoy the view.

Seems pretty harsh to me. Our kids had no such restrictions. No dogs allowed in your truck either eh? The truck will clean up.

It's the drinks that gave us problems.

3 Year’s ago my wife banned my now 21 yo son from having food in our truck specifically dots. We flew back to msp and had to drive back to portage and my son fell asleep with an open box of dots. We still find the stray dot in the back seat

Our kids were not allowed to eat in the truck until they were older. Now the grandkids, they can bring anything or do anything in the truck their little hearts desire

I smile the whole time I'm vacuuming or shampooing after trips with them, remembering their faces and all the fun we had.

You could do a little research and pick a few food/snack items that will not hurt your truck.

My gosh, if we didn't eat in the truck we'd starve to death. Leather solves (nearly) all.

Also, our 3 month old doesn't eat in the vehicles, but she can mess them like no other. She doesn't give a rat's behind about rules, either.

We do everything in the car/truck. Murica!

I’d rather get a lump of coal then get a shop vac and need to detail my truck after every car ride [emoji848]

We always allowed the kids to eat in our vehicles when they were young but we selected items that would not damage the upholstery if dropped. Cheetos or anything like them would have been verboten. We also allowed drinks but they had to be covered tightly with a straw in a solid plastic cup not one of those wax paper fast food thingys. When they were old enough to drive I'm sure they drank and ate whatever they felt like when using the car but they never spilled. The kids are all grown but the DW and I still eat and drink in the truck when on longer trips.

There's not a kid on the planet that could hold a candle to our Jack Russel when it comes to messing up the interior. Hair like porcupine quills. 1/2 hour to vacuum each seat when I'd take him and the chocolate lab to the vet or any other place.

Bet you paid a lot more for your house. No food, drink or pets in there? Enjoy what you have and don't sweat the small stuff.

Noticed you're Elkhorn. We're close neighbors. I'm east of you in Bellevue.
