Great thread. I have just learned to blow some of those posts off from people, although every now and then, I'll take a small jab just for the fun of it.

On all the forums I'm a member of (not just RVing), the common theme seems to be "I own "this" brand therefore it is the best and I will argue to the end why that is."

I just recently ran into this. I was changing the oil in my daughter's car and was short one quart. So I ran to the store and grabbed one. Didn't realize until after I left the store that I had grabbed a different weight than what I had at home. A quick google search told me that I would be fine.

They don't build em like they use to. As my dad says "I'm 85 years old and never had my oil changed"

It's human nature to defend whatever (lousy) decision one may have made, whether it makes sense or not.

If it’s on the internet it must be true, right?!

Some of my favorite threads to read are about Air Tabs. All of the "experts" that have never had or tried them claim they are snake oil, junk, ugly, a waste of money and give all sorts of scientific reasons why they can't work. But everyone that has them claim that they work.

I am convinced that most replies on this forum are from folks that can't read, with off the wall comments. Some guy asks about his WDH; some replies will be on target, then you'll see a guy tell you about his truck or his trailer that has nothing whatsoever to do with WDH, after a page of replies, 90% of posts are then hijacked. I do wish people before posting would take 10 seconds to search for their own answers.

This is true. But who’s in a hurry with 14k lbs behind it on vacation? Especially not me being in Southern California with all the damn traffic. Haha
