So to start I am guilty of what I am about to complain about, but after mostly reading and more replying than I thought. I find it funny that we let our own biases get in way of common since. Just read where people believe that you can’t switch brands or viscosity of oil I guess ever. I asked once why people hand calculate mpg when computers in car do it for you. While many agreed it was really close others thought me a fool because I was more likely to go with computer mpg due to less variables. Then you have your experts on towing weights diesel vs gas ect. Some are giving help some are helpful while others just muddy the water. That said share your examples of blind bias enjoy you turkey day and thank you for all the post I learn and laugh all in one read

We live in an opinion-based society.

IMO.

I always crack up when I see 'hand calculated' mpg. What, they use an abacus ? Love the tow vehicle threads too. Cummins/Powerstroke/Duramax all the way, never mind these engines take up to 1000 lbs off the payload. And everything made in China is crap. Like the iPhones, or TVs, or computers. Also, campgrounds without paved sites and full hookups are to be avoided !

Seems to me folks pretty much either totally love or totally hate whatever they bought. It's my way or the highway. Oh well, smile and move on.

If I want your opinion....I'll give it to you.

I used to hand calculate my mpg but use the computer in the truck now. The computer in the truck gives a higher number than the hand calculation.

I use to "Hand calculate" the mpg and always got 10mpg. Lost three fingers in an accident, now I only get 7mpg.

If you're not doing the way I do it, you're doing it wrong.

Cargo capacity is just a guideline. I know more about what my truck can do that the engineers who designed it.

My thought was that nitrogen added to tires is a good thing?? Lol. That always good for a couple bags of popcorn.
