Now, we know that is just you trying to blow smoke up our -----, you wouldn't do that in a 1000 yrs being the responsible man you are. But, you have retained your sense of humor.
God Bless and keep your chin up my friend. Give Ms. Laura a hug and a kiss from OC & TOWTA!

One of the many reasons we chose Peritoneal Dialysis.
Will do; love to Frankie from both of us.

Lou, as many have said, God will continue to provide. We'll continue to pray for a quick recovery and peace/comfort for both of you. Looking forward to hearing new camper stories from you soon

You know, maybe OC is right about me chiding him about a surface over a iPad....sometimes the "helpful" autocorrect in iOS is LESS that useful

I have an iPad too, Sometimes auto-correct is hilarious!
Other times it is down right embarrassing.

After noticing the letters H & J are side by side I knew that you likely meant Herk and not Jerk. I'll be happy to edit the typo if you like.

Sorry it took so long getting an update to this thread. I have been at the hospital most every day from dawn till dinner (Bella can only hold it so long and HER kidneys have been tested perfect.
Laura was supposed to be released on Thursday after her third blood dialysis but there was a bump in the road. Her Peritoneal portal started to leak and they did not want to send her home with a wet bandage. Only the surgeon can remove the seal and since he was working at the VA hospital in Philadelphia till 7 PM he did not get back to our hospital until 1030 PM.
She was released Friday afternoon and is home resting and trying to make blood cells to replace those lost during the dialysis. Getting 3 back to back drained her pretty good.
Wednesday we go in for training on the home dialysis machine and we will be on our own (with home nurse if needed) after training is completed. Once a month we go in for blood tests to validate the dialysis fluid composition.
So her job is to get better!
Now to get the camper over to the inspection station before the end of April. Meh, not going to happen, but the shop is about a mile or two up the road.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, they helped immensely and kept a smile on her face in her darkest hours. The blood thing is REALLY painful and with her bad back staying in one position for 3 hours was near impossible.
Hope the worst is behind us, and hope to see you all in August (and a few of you in New York!)
Much love,
Lou and Laura

I cannot believe I haven't seen this until now!
My prayers for you and Laura. I'm very happy to hear that you are at home now.
Give your better half a big hug from Korea for me, ok?

The outpouring of love and prayers from this forum is just flat out amazing.
PMs and posts of support and help are greatly appreciated.
She is doing much better this morning and if we can stop her back spasms so she can sleep through the night her mending should accelerate. No camping till we get this bit under control. The new mattress we got at the Goshen rally should really help once we get her well enough to travel.
Thank you all,
Lou and Laura

OC,
I know what you meant (since I know you call ALL doctors "Vets" ) but others might not.
Hope to camp together again soon,
Herk
