time to go

Almost Memorial Day, so I guess we are safe to head back to Ohio and not see snow and ice. We have been in Tallahassee, FL since Thanksgiving. Buying a house here kept us an extra month. But now time to go and get our house in Ohio ready to sell and move stuff down. And figure out how to tell the kids and grandkids.

It's been great here this past winter. First winter I haven't been freezing and didn't miss the snow. Having lost my leg last August, I didn't want to try using crutches on snow and ice. I fall enough without any extra help.

Everybody loves visiting FL...so your kids/grandkids should be excited when you break the news! ...also, you are close to some of the best blue water & soft sand beaches

Hi Wiscampsin. I'm doing great. How about you? Not sure about the move, a lot of work that I can't help with but really want to. DW and I have talked about moving to Florida for years so finally did it.

Florida is a great place to spend the winter. Quite a few seasonal people at the campground head south is mid to late Nov and come back in late April. My sister has a condo right on the gulf in Englewood and loves it. She spends most of the winter there. I understand what you mean when you say there's work to be done and you can't help with it. Just do what you can and be happy with that.
