Spending most of my camping time in Lancaster County, PA, I am very aware that a tractor or buggy may be right over a hill or around the corner. The people in PA seem to be very patient and deal with this remarkably well.

That tractor Has "Beacon Light,EXtend Blinking Lights,SMV and Is HUGE" How can you Not see it? I have a Lot of "Tractor Time" it is the time of the year to Work Ground, but you have to get there,MOST Farmers are Courteous, BUT they are Not Stupid,if you think they can pull those Big Rigs over for Everybody at Any time,You Pull over in the "Beer Bottle,Muffler, and Whatever Else Berm Area" and Ruin a 1,500+ $$ Tire and all the Down Time, and see how you feel! Youroo!!

Don't be to quick to blame the farmer. I am a mechanic at a ag equipment dealer. You would be surprised how much accident damage we fix from cars that "don't see" the equipment that's 10 times bigger than them.

Just west of me they have antique tractor runs on the back roads. You need to be careful when they are out!

Or RV owner was texting or fiddling with the GPS not watching the road.

I don't know about NC and its weird laws. If a Farmer or Custom Combine Owner are suppose to minimize a nuisance to others by breaking their gear down to smaller pieces. They are using the road against the law and do not do so they are in the wrong. As far as running them into the Ditch in my province that is aggressive driving.

Honestly, I have driven big equipment to help buddies during harvest and know that they spend a short time on the hard road when required. Running one of them off the road will make you "The biggest Loser".

I have not met a lot of timid farmers...

Guess you won't want to come to North Dakota then. Farm machinery always has the right of way so you best pay attention.

I agree with. I was posting reference If the OP was to run it off the road he would be charged with aggressive driving.

Funny how people don't want the farmers in their way, but sure want the results of their work on their table 3 times a day.

I think this is the wreck in question....judging by the wheels on the pickup truck, the sign underneath the stop sign, and the missing left rear outside tire on the John Deere.

What people don't realize is that the farms were usually there before the roads, and land was taken from them under the guise of eminent domain to provide paths for roads for us to drive on. Believe it or not, that farmer (or his previous family) you are cussing for being in your way probably gave up thousands of dollars worth of productive land so you can make your trip a few minutes shorter. Be patient and let them use the land that was once theirs.
