Mine is Capt Kidd because my last name is Kidd. My pods name is the pirate pod. I have used Capt Kidd as my handle for 40 years or more.

I've been doing it for 20+ years but I've still got another 20 or 30 to go.

Interesting to see all the changes in technology over time. I think I coded in at least a dozen different languages on everything from mainframes to desktop business apps. Shoot IT was Data Processing when I first got into the profession. Good luck on your next twenty or thirty.

I used to do a lot of hiking and backpacking in my younger days. “Through hiker” is the name for people who hike the entire Appalachian Trail, from end to end. I did the northern half, from Maine down into PA, back in 1983. Now that we’re retired, I’ve thought about trying to finish the southern half... but a lot harder to get up and down those hills now for some reason!

Damm, Cruiser! My wife and I have been cruising for the last 15 years or so. We have quite a few on HAL, Princess, and Norwegian, but nothing like yours. We used to pick based on when we could get vacation and itineraries, and do 2-3 cruises a year. This year of course, they’ve all been cancelled. Next year, we have an Australian trip booked... fingers crossed! Where’s your next trip?

I needed a "handle" way back around 1994 for an internet forum about Ram trucks.
I remember my brother had a sticker in his truck and I through it said TowPro so I just used that name.

later I found out his sticker said pro tow.

We had a trip to Australia for this past April to do a 18 day cruise from Sydney to Hawaii but was cancelled due to the covid, then a week later we were going to do a 5 week trip to Montana and the Dakotas and that got cancelled. We have a cruise from Hong Kong next year, fingers crossed.

I drove through beautiful downtown Bishopville today on the way to McBee from Sumter to get peaches. I stopped just for this picture on the way home.
P.S. Extra credit for anyone who knows the correct pronunciation of McBee, SC. Click image for larger version
