What's up (or down) with gas prices?

Regular was $1.98.9 a gallon at Murphys today. Lowest I seen in awhile.

Here in Western MD it averages about $2.35 or so. Couple places jumped 3 or 4 cents, but nothing major.

PA has a hefty gas tax, but they are using it to repair the roads and bridges. I was there in July and there was road construction everywhere we went. I'm glad I don't live there and have to put up with it all summer.

PA does have heafty gas taxes (live in PA) but while they might be doing construction some places, sadly not here in our county.

Roads are broken and worn to where the base is coming out and bridges are closed because they are unsafe.

So much for higher gas prices giving us better roads. (sad and paying $2.59)

With State taxes, it's almost impossible to compare gas prices any longer. My local Sheetz is $2.45. I paid $1.91 in one of the Carolina's on our way back from FL.

At least I can see some of the "progress" from the PA gas tax. Our county has road and bridge repairs all over the place. The saving grace for me is I have 5 different ways I can drive to work.

I wonder if the tax will be repealed once all of the roads and bridges are done?
